For their special day, Mary Margaret (Marge) and Caleb wanted a bright, colorful, welcoming garden
party at the end of October at the same venue where Marge’s parents tied the knot. Challenge accepted! In collaboration with Blakely and her team at Belle Amour Weddings, their celebration on October 29, 2022 at The Country Club of Louisiana in Baton Rouge remains one of our favorite looks of that year. The ceremony took place at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church before the celebration at the Country Club off of Highland Road. The bridal party wore coordinating blue and white patterned dresses from Smith and Quinn Weddings, complementing Marge’s gorgeous dress from Ivory and White Boutique; all harmonizing with the florals and blue and white chinoiserie vases chosen from the mother of the bride’s personal collection, as well as our own. Marge’s hair was done by Kristin Blackledge and her makeup by Megan Higginbotham. Doug Olinde provided the stage and stagefront for the entertainment of the evening, Groove Factor; in addition to the drapery curtaining the entrance into the reception area, that we further embellished with gorgeous Smilax vine from East Texas Smilax. Julie’s Cake Studio created the exquisite green lattice design on the cake, seemingly “growing” out of lush green moss and a playful garden of colorful spring blooms. Much gratitude to Emily Fuselier Photography for capturing the lovely fête champêtre.
