Contemporary Elegance at the Capital

Derrick and Sara celebrated their marriage at Capital Park Museum in Baton Rouge on October 5, 2024.

Large, crisp white blooms and dramatically draped greenery flourished the museum on their big day to complete the evening's chic design.

Whiskey Bar

We adorned the wall behind the Whiskey Bar with Smilax vines. This was also the starting point for greening out the entire wall behind the pool

Plaza

One of my favorite installations for this wedding was the concrete wall in the Plaza. We attached smilax vines beginning at the entrance of the venue, running down the entire length of the pool. This created a beautifully organic atmosphere, bringing life into the hard, sharp space.

Ceremony

ree

Large white trees with floral wreaths at the base on our rentable white columns framed the officiant and couple for the ceremony. This space ended up giving off such a sweet, fairytale feeling with the beautiful drapery backdrop.

The floral clusters at the front of the "altar" were moved and repurposed as stage front florals for the reception.

The large aisle arrangements were placed on glass trumpet vases and repurposed as tall table arrangements.

Reception

In the plaza, the white trees used during the ceremony were placed on reserved tables and as stated above, the aisle arrangements were placed on large glass trumpets. Inside, bud vase clusters surrounded large glass candelabras provided by the bride. The simplicity of the glass and white blooms perfectly complimented the whimsical white drapery enclosing the entire space.

Cake

Sara's wedding cake design was dramatic and stunning. We highlighted the cake's elegant simplicity by draping smilax on the glass wall behind the cake display.
